The First Ask Announces Second Endorsement Batch of 2026

Washington, DC – National women’s PAC The First Ask has endorsed a second round of women for the 2026 election. These seven women represent four different states and are running to represent a collective 970,000 people across their districts.

The First Ask had already endorsed 18 candidates earlier this year bringing their total endorsement number to 25. This is considerable growth from previous years as the group aims to build upon their 100% success rate in 2025.

The First Ask is proud to endorse the following candidates for the 2026 cycle:

  • Beth Fuller, Georgia HD-53

  • Timoria McQueen Saba, Georgia HD-68

  • Joanna Whaley, Michigan HD-02

  • Jen Mazzocco, Pennsylvania HD-42

  • Eileen Hartnett Albillar, Pennsylvania

  • Montserrat Garibay, Texas HD-49

  • Brittany Black, Texas HD-6

Caroline Welles, Executive Director of The First Ask, issued the following statement:

“These women are community leaders, fierce advocates, and care deeply about making our state legislatures work for the people. State legislatures are so often perceived as small or unimportant. In reality, these seven candidates are running to almost one million Americans. Our state legislatures have such immense power over our daily lives—education quality, healthcare access, and more. These women are running to make life meaningfully better for so many people. I am incredibly proud to endorse women who are so committed to their communities and to our country.”

The First Ask is a 527 political action committee dedicated to identifying and supporting Democratic women to run for State Chambers nationwide. The organization advocates for proportionate gender representation in state legislatures by increasing the share of women serving in legislatures from 32% to 51%.
