Job Description
The First Ask is an organization that works to support Democratic, pro-choice, non-incumbent women's campaigns for State House & State Senate. The First Ask eases barriers to entry to close the gender gap in representation, with the ultimate goal of advancing and protecting liberal policies in State chambers.
The First Ask is seeking passionate and driven interns to join our team and actively participate in our efforts to enlist candidates for State House & State Senate. As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in a political start up, gain valuable insights into the electoral processes, and contribute to meaningful projects that align with your interests and skills.

This is a paid internship opportunity.
Location: In Person in Washington, DC (Dupont Circle). Interns are responsible for finding their own summer housing.
Hours: Part Time, not to exceed 25 hours per week
Start Date: Monday, August 24th, 2026
End Date: Friday, December 4th, 2026
Salary: $1,000 per month
