The First Ask Proudly Supports Kacey Carnegie for Virginia House of Delegates District 89

Washington, DC — The First Ask announces its support for Kacey Carnegie’s campaign for Virginia House of Delegates. Carnegie currently runs her own law practice now called Carnegie Law Group in Chesapeake, Virginia after graduating from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in order to give back to her community. 

Caroline Welles, Executive Director of The First Ask, issued the following statement on the endorsement:

“ Kacey has spent her career advocating for the needs of her community in order to best support the people in Virginia. Carnegie understands the importance and power in creating and giving back to your community. She is a staunch advocate for ensuring community safety by strengthening gun safety laws and funding education. We are thrilled to endorse her and look forward to supporting her candidacy in Chesapeake.”

The First Ask is a 527 political action committee dedicated to identifying and supporting Democratic women to run for State Chambers nationwide. The organization advocates for proportionate gender representation in state legislatures by increasing the share of women serving in legislatures from 32% to 51%.
