The First Ask Endorses Key Candidates in Kansas for 2026 Election
Washington, DC – National women's PAC The First Ask has endorsed two candidates in Kansas as part of its latest round of endorsements for the 2026 election.
The endorsed candidates are:
Candace Landers, Kansas HD-88
Amelia Wiederaenders, Kansas HD-30
Landers and Wiederaenders will appear on the ballot this November and are fighting to represent their districts in the Kansas State House.
With this announcement, The First Ask has now endorsed 39 candidates in the 2026 cycle, reflecting significant growth and continued success from previous years.
Caroline Welles, Executive Director of The First Ask, issued the following statement:
"With all 125 seats in the Kansas House on the ballot this fall, the lawmakers elected in November will decide whether Republicans keep the supermajority that lets them override the governor's vetoes, and with it the future of reproductive freedom, health care access, and voting rights in the state. That is why supporting candidates in Kansas matters so much right now. We are excited to support Landers and Wiederaenders going forward."
