The First Ask Congratulates Nicole Cole on Her Success in the 2025 General Election

Washington, DC – The First Ask endorsed candidate Nicole Cole has won the general election with _ of the vote and flipped the seat. Nicole will now represent Virginia’s 66th district in the House of Delegates. 

Cole, a small business owner, nonprofit leader, and mother of three, currently serves as Vice Chair of the Spotsylvania County School Board and is an advocate for education and youth. She ran on the three E’s: economic prosperity, environmental justice, and education to enhance the quality of life for residents in her district. 

Executive Director of The First Ask, Caroline Welles, has made the following statement regarding Cole’s victory:

“Congratulations to Nicole for her victory in the 2025 general election! Nicole had an incredible turnout, making momentous strides from previous elections in the district. Through her continued activism on the Spotsylvania County School Board and her education advocacy nonprofit, Nicole has shown that she knows how to effect meaningful change in her community and will be a fierce advocate for her district. The First Ask is so proud of Nicole!”

The First Ask is a 527 political action committee dedicated to identifying and supporting Democratic women to run for State Chambers nationwide. The organization advocates for proportionate gender representation in state legislatures by increasing the share of women serving in legislatures from 32% to 51%.
